In line with Axis 2 identified by the ECROS Scientific Council ("Places linked to the history and practice of sport"), here is a map showing the tangible and intangible heritage of sport in France as it stands today. It is based on available sources and highlights the local authorities and the State that have taken action in this area.
It features the architecture and sporting memorials found in mainland France and the French overseas territories. This theme reflects a heritage that is present throughout France. Any local authority wishing to take part in the ECROS itinerary can do so by becoming a member.
Our foreign partners, as founding members, are beginning to take a similar approach.
